About the Book

In writing my life story I encountered episodes that were at times very difficult. Even from the distance of many years. These included the disappointments I faced as a child, growing up dealing with the loss of my father and loved ones, and what my mother, sister, brother and I had to experience after the loss of my father. I also revisited our financial state, from being well off to ending up poor, losing everything that my father worked for. There has been much self hurt and pain that I’ve endured throughout my life, and I’ve afflicted others as well, people who were very important to me, in a blind state of mind, not realizing that I was dragging my own past of pain onto them.

">I had to come to this place in time, in order to change what was in my control. I began to understand that the ups and downs of life were part of our failures and success. Without bad experiences, we would not encounter good experiences and the good things that are given to us. I also came to be aware of the gifts that I’d received throughout my life and I now see life and situations in a whole different perspective. Timing is the key to life; we may not understand why the terrible things that we encounter in life happen to us, but we can rejoice in the good and blessing that we can see more clearly.

I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to make a difference in my life and in others. Sometimes we need to examine our lives and the past, and try to understand that things happen for a reason. At the time we may not know why, but at the end of the tunnel it does get brighter.
